What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substance Use Counselor position at Center for Human Development?
The Center for Human Development (CHD) is currently seeking a 32 hour a week Counselor at its Aster House program located in South Hadley. Aster House is a co-occurring residential treatment facility for male and female 16 residents. Aster House provides long term (6 to 12 months) residential treatment.
Responsibilities include the development and implementation of person centered treatment plans, facilitating evidenced based group therapies individual therapy, assistance with discharge planning, community support coordination and collaboration.
- Bachelors Degree in a related field is required
- Experience in clinical positions
- Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and treatment
- Experience facilitating groups
