The CHCNJ Group Home in West Milford, NJ is home to four people with developmental disabilities. CHCNJ is seeking Direct Support Professionals to work on an as-needed (substitute) basis to provide personal, recreational and community involvement support. Afternoon, evening and weekend hours are available.
As a substitute Direct Support Professional, duties will include providing all needed supports within the home, and developing and supporting true community involvement by encouraging and attending activities such as parks, festivals, concerts, farms, restaurants, shopping and other fun events in the surrounding area.
This position pays $19.50 per hour. Part time benefits include paid holiday and sick time. Previous DSP experience is not necessary, but a desire to have fun and take part in community activities is a must. All training will be provided for the new DSP after hire.
Minimum requirements for employment at CHCNJ:
- 18 Years of Age
- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic Computer Skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- Acceptable Driving Record
