The Center for New Medicine and Cancer Center for Healing, under the leadership of Medical Director Dr. Leigh Erin Connealy, MD, is expanding and seeking a dedicated Physician (MD or DO) with a keen interest in specializing in Integrative Cancer Care.

Job Duties:
- Root Cause Diagnosis & Treatment – Conduct thorough patient assessments to detect, diagnose, and treat underlying health conditions with a whole-person approach.
- Comprehensive Patient Care – Lead initial consultations, follow-up visits, and long-term treatment plans following established protocols to ensure personalized care.
- Thorough Documentation – Maintain meticulous records of patient history, discussions, traumas, attendees, and medical decisions to ensure compliance and legal integrity.
- Patient Education & Empowerment – Educate patients about their health, conditions, treatment options, and our specialized modalities, empowering them to actively participate in their healing journey.
- Seamless Team Collaboration – Ensure smooth handoffs between specialists by documenting past treatments, ongoing care plans, and next steps for continuity of care.
- Precision in Ordering & Referrals – Order diagnostic tests and refer patients to in-house or external specialists (MRI, neurology, orthopedics, etc.) as needed.
- Protocol Mastery – Learn and integrate all in-house treatment protocols, specialty services, and modalities into patient care for a synergistic approach.
- Effective Communication with Staff – Keep Medical Assistants and other team members updated on treatment plans and any necessary adjustments to streamline patient care.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid California Medical License – Must hold or be eligible for an unrestricted MD or DO license issued by the Medical Board of California (MBC) or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California (OMBC).
- DEA Registration – Valid DEA license to prescribe controlled substances.
- Experience in Integrative/Functional Medicine.
- Dependable, highly organized, and systematic approach to work.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills with an outgoing personality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of Functional Medicine Modules through ACAM.org or ACIM Connect, IFM, or A4M.
- Experience in Integrative Cancer Care.
