Center for Pain and Supportive Care is seeking a full time Front Office Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of work experience in a Front Office, Administrative, or Customer Service position. The candidate should also demonstrate professional customer service skills, efficiency, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Update patient demographic information
- Verify insurance information
- Check patients in using EMR system
- Collect copays/deductibles/coinsurances at each visit
- Collect copays, deductibles, co-insurance, and patient balances
- Correctly use a multi-line phone system
- Schedule patients using EHR system
- Scan documentation into patient charts
- Organize incoming faxes
- Keep patients comfortable and informed
- Retrieve and return voicemails
- Distribute incoming calls, faxes and documentation to the correct staff member
- Complete tasks pertinent to the smooth flow of the clinic and providing good customer service
Skills/Requirements
- Great customer service skills
- Experience with EHR system helpful, but not required
- Competent using Microsoft Office Suite
- Fast and accurate using a computer keyboard
- Knowledge of HMO, PPO, Medicare and Medicaid insurance plans, preferred but not required
- Practice with and speed at data entry
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations, preferred but not required
- Ability to organize and manage several tasks
- Ability to work efficiently
- Ability to handle difficult patients
