What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Psychologist position at Center for Pediatric Behavioral Health, PLLC?
Center for Pediatric Behavioral Health is seeking a licensed psychologist to join our dynamic team providing services to children and adolescents with special needs in Wilmington, NC. The successful candidate will work within our Department of Pediatric Psychology conducting psychological testing. Although not required, providing some individual and family therapy would be preferred. The ideal candidate will be comfortable and competent working with children and adolescents with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct psychological evaluations of neurodevelopmental disorders and behavioral, social, and emotional issues
· Develop treatment plans based on assessment results
· Provide therapy (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based therapies) to neurodivergent children and adolescents and their families
· Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
· Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment plans
Center for Pediatric Behavioral Health is a growing organization providing psychological and applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to children with special needs through multiple specialized programs including an Autism Diagnostic Clinic, Behavioral Pediatrics Clinic, Early and Advanced Learner Programs, Pediatric Feeding Disorders Program, Pathways Program, and Severe Behavior Program. Our Autism Diagnostic Clinic and Behavioral Pediatrics Clinic currently comprise our Department of Pediatric Psychology. We are a dynamic and supportive team of psychologists, physicians, behavior analysts, and behavior technicians who are dedicated to providing compassionate, empirically supported care to improve the lives of children and adolescents with special needs in the Cape Fear and surrounding regions. The ideal candidate would provide services in our newest location, a 10,000 sf state of the art facility in midtown Wilmington, NC.
