I. GENERAL FUNCTIONS
The Workforce Development Manager will lead and manage a team of Opening Doors Facilitators and Workforce Development Specialists. This role oversees the Opening Doors program, ensures effective service delivery, manages roster coordination, and aligns team efforts with the organization's mission and goals. The Manager will also oversee the job-seek process for our Center for People community, ensuring that workforce services are provided efficiently, and program goals are met. Additionally, the Manager will coordinate with external partners, including the Community Corrections Center of Lincoln, and organize and manage various events related to the program. This position aims to create an enriching environment for staff and participants, facilitating skill development and career advancement opportunities while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversee and manage a team that includes Opening Doors Facilitators and Workforce Development Specialists, ensuring alignment with program goals and organizational strategy.
· Oversee the Workforce Development team of specialists, ensuring effective program implementation and professional development.
· Oversee the Opening Doors program, including roster management, communication with the Community Corrections Center of Lincoln and the Lancaster County Corrections, and organizing and managing events related to the program, such as Milestone Celebrations, Alumni Dinners, and Peer Support Groups.
· Oversee the job-seek process for our Center for People community, ensuring that workforce services are provided efficiently and goals are met.
· Facilitate check-ins, deliver curriculum, and support the Education and Training Manager with the 5 Keys Classes authorized by the Nebraska Department of Corrections to support justice-impacted community members in their personal development and reintegration efforts.
· Track and evaluate participant involvement in Volunteer Days to measure impact on career readiness and social reintegration.
· Serve as the back-up facilitator for County Corrections and CCCL, ensuring continuity in service delivery.
· Coordinate and oversee the annual Financial Literacy Conference, managing logistics, speakers, and sponsor outreach.
· Co-facilitate the quarterly Alumni Events for our justice-impacted community, fostering engagement and ongoing support.
· Cultivate meaningful and trusted relationships with public and private program supporters.
· Establish and maintain professional relationships with service organizations that may assist program participants.
· Coordinate marketing, outreach, and recruitment efforts to attract program participants.
· Work with the Education and Training Manager to ensure cohesive and integrated programming.
· Provide coaching and guidance to ensure team members meet and exceed performance expectations based on scorecard goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
· Regularly review individual and team scorecards, offering feedback, support, and professional development opportunities to drive success.
· Implement strategies to enhance performance, address challenges, and foster a results-driven culture.
· Ensure scorecard attainment aligns with organizational objectives, continuously monitoring progress and making data-driven decisions for improvement.
· Utilize performance metrics to inform program enhancements, resource allocation, and staff development.
· Actively represent the Center for People at workforce development meetings, conferences, and events, including but not limited to those hosted by the City of Lincoln and the Chamber of Commerce.
· Build relationships with key stakeholders, business leaders, and policymakers to advocate for workforce development initiatives that align with the organization's mission.
· Ensure the Center for People is present in discussions that shape workforce policies and opportunities in Lincoln and the surrounding area.
· Stay informed on workforce trends, funding opportunities, and strategic partnerships to enhance program impact.
· Align workforce training outcomes with the organizational mission of "helping low-income families by providing basic needs and educational opportunities needed to become financially independent."
· Track and report accurate program outcomes for use in storytelling, grant writing, and donor relations.
· Strive for continuous improvement by regularly reviewing CORE curriculum, workforce development services, and recruitment strategies for program participants.
· Support strategic leadership by providing feedback and insights to affirm organizational goals.
· Participate in the annual budget process and manage budget-approved targets for workforce development programs.
· Proactively seek innovative solutions to strengthen existing programs or create new workforce training opportunities.
· Operate in accordance with all contracts, government regulations, and the Center for People policies and procedures.
· Ensure a warm, welcoming, and professional environment in educational programming physical spaces.
· Collect and report longitudinal data on program impact, ensuring the effective tracking of participant outcomes.
· Exhibit high integrity and maintain ethical professional boundaries in all aspects of the role.
· Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet organizational needs, including occasional evenings and weekends to support events and initiatives.
· Perform other duties as assigned by senior leadership.

III. DESIRABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
● A bachelor’s degree in education, social work, organizational development, or a related field is preferred, OR a minimum of 2 years of work experience in supervision, case management, career or education counseling, or related field.
● Valid Nebraska driver’s license and current motor vehicle insurance
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
● Graduation from a senior high school or equivalent
● Must 18 years of age
