Job Summary:
The Center for Plastic Surgery is seeking a dedicated and dynamic LPN or Medical Assistant to support our surgical and aesthetic clinics. This vital role works directly with our surgical and MedSpa providers to ensure seamless guest care and an outstanding guest experience. Responsibilities encompass both clinical and administrative duties, requiring collaboration with providers to deliver exceptional surgical care and innovative aesthetic treatments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Personally greet and escort guests to treatment or clinic rooms, ensuring they feel welcomed, comfortable, and prepared for their visit.
- Prepare treatment and clinic rooms for patient visits or procedures, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
- Complete guest intake accurately and verify that guest information is updated prior to their visit.
- Assist providers during consultations, clinic visits, and procedures, including minor surgical procedures, injectables, laser treatments, and other skin therapies.
- Capture patient images for documentation or treatment purposes while maintaining confidentiality and privacy.
- Educate guests on pre- and post-procedure care and provide information about products and services available at the Center for Plastic Surgery.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment notes, and assist providers with electronic health record (EHR) documentation.
- Restock and manage inventory of supplies and products, notifying clinical staff of needed items to prevent shortages.
- Maintain compliance with safety and sanitation protocols
- Deliver an outstanding guest experience throughout every phase of the guest interaction.
- Various administrative duties including guest follow up, completing, filing and organizing paperwork, preparing reports and supporting providers with guest correspondence.
- Provide a welcoming and professional atmosphere for all guests.
- Cross-train with the front office team and support administrative tasks as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification is preferred; MAIII designation is a plus.
- For LPNs, graduation from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Unencumbered LPN license with the North Dakota State Nursing Board or multi-state licensure privileges.
- Current BLS certification.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an LPN or Medical Assistant.
- Previous experience in a Medical Spa, Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, or Aesthetic setting is preferred.
Skills and Professional Attributes:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and documentation standards.
- Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and regulations.
- Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions, with the initiative to ask for clarification when necessary.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions independently.
- Passion for aesthetics and existing knowledge of industry terminology and procedures are an advantage.
