Job Overview:

The Center seeks an experienced professional to fill the full-time Director of Clinical Services management team role. This leadership role will oversee our counseling division and positively impact the lives of adolescents and adults seeking intensive outpatient substance use disorder services. This position is responsible for ensuring the highest standard of clinical services while obtaining the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s level with LCADC/LPC or LCADC/LCSW required; CCS needed; ACS preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in substance use treatment, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Experience treating co-occurring disorders (minimum 5 years).
  • Familiar with NJSAMS and other state reporting systems.
  • Crisis management experience.
  • Experience with electronic health records.
  • Proven ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to engage effectively with staff, clients, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative oversight, management, and supervision of the counseling department.
  • Ensure, prepare, and monitor compliance with DMHAS licensure regulations and other funding and grant requirements.
  • Follow all counseling policies and procedures set by DMHAS, agency, and grants.
  • Oversee and supervise counseling staff, including education on clinical policy and procedures and in-service trainings as required by DMHAS.
  • Provide and document that direct clinical supervision is provided to all clinical staff.
  • Develop policies and procedures that enhance the quality of clinical services while promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Ensure implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Ensure, prepare, and monitor agency-wide compliance with DMHAS licensure regulations and all required site visits.
  • Utilize NJSAMS, including ASI, LOCI, and DSM5.
  • Ensure proper utilization and troubleshooting of issues with NJSAMS.
  • Monitor electronic health records system for counseling department as directed by DMHAS, agency, and grants.
  • Attend county and state meetings and function as liaison with community partners.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical staff, administration, and external stakeholders regarding clinical operations.

Work Schedule:

This position is full-time and requires on-site attendance.
