This individual will also be responsible for leading the audit process and for oversight of cash flow projections. This position reports directly to the Chief Finance Officer and works closely with the Center’s Management Team.The Controller will join the Center during a season of expansion, growth, and opportunity, as they embark upon their new strategic plan, and endeavor to protect reproductive rights around the world.Our Ideal Candidate : 15 years of broad and progressive finance experience including Grant Accounting- RequiredDemonstrated knowledge of US GAAP and preparation and understanding of Financial Statements- RequiredDemonstrated knowledge of and experience in financial / regulatory compliance in both the US and outside of the US- RequiredA hands-on manager with integrity, self-initiative, and a desire to work in a dynamic, mission-driven environmentProven experience driving and managing organizational changeBachelors in Finance or Accounting- RequiredMBA- PreferredHow You Will Spend Your Day : Implement and assure adherence to all accounting policies and procedures; periodically review, update and / or develop new / missing policies as neededIncrease organizational accounting and financial management capacity and effectiveness through proactive communication, training, and coachingDevelop and foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders while providing accounting expertise and analysis that will support the achievement of programmatic and operational objectivesWork closely with the CFO to manage relationships, auditors, and external accounting advisorsWork directly with the CFO to support the Board Finance & Audit CommitteeReview financial situation monthly and provide updates to the CFOTrack investments and endowmentsTrack exchange rates to minimize foreign transaction lossesOversee revenue reconciliation process and processing accounts receivable, ensuring general ledger accuracyManage state and Federal regulatory filings and insurance renewalsIncorporate technology to improve efficiency and paperless functionality of vendor payments and employee reimbursementsActively manage the Assistant ControllerMentor, coach, and retain outstanding accounting team membersOther tasks as assignedWe’d love to hear from you!If this sounds like the job for you or know someone who would be a great fit, we would love to help make that happen.
