Position Summary: As a key member of our optical team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the patient experience through excellent service and expertise. You will be responsible for various aspects of the optical business, including vision plan authorization and billing, frame selection, lens options, and frame adjustments/dispensing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct vision plan authorizations and billing processes.
- Assist patients in selecting the perfect frames and lens options to meet their needs.
- Provide expert adjustments and dispensing of eyewear to ensure optimal fit and comfort.
- Maintain a welcoming and informative environment for patients.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
- Stay current on optical trends and technologies to provide informed recommendations.
- Adjust and repair eyewear as necessary
- Provide patients with guidance on proper eyewear care and usage
- Process lens and frame orders
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of optical experience is required.
- Willingness to travel between our Stockton and Manteca location is required.
- Bilingual in Spanish is essential for effective communication with our diverse patient base.
- Familiarity with EPIC or similar electronic health record systems (1 year required).
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
- Outgoing personality with strong customer service skills.
- Self-motivated and a progressive thinker who thrives in a team environment.
**Pay ranges based on experience, with starting compensation negotiable.**
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
