 SUMMARY 
The Clinical Counseling Therapist works side-by-side women and their children throughout Tarrant County to disrupt the cycle of poverty by providing comprehensive clinical counseling services. Duties include ensuring Clinical Counseling Services are delivered in a manner consistent with program design, including the Cycles of Well-being, Trauma-Informed Care core principles, a two-generation approach, and contract requirements. The Clinical Counseling Therapist is responsible for providing high quality Therapy utilizing a range of modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma - Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy – or other evidence-based modalities that are proven effective in serving trauma. The Clinical Counseling Therapist may also act as a resource in training and consulting with CTL employees and partner agencies. 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES 
A master’s degree from an accredited university or college with a major in counseling, social work, or psychology; and one of the following clinical licensures: LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMFT-Associate, LPC, LPC-Associate licensure with clinical experience providing trauma informed clinical services to adults and/or children. Additionally, the Clinical Counseling Therapist will: 
1. Demonstrate understanding about and compassion for the priority population served by CTL. 
2. Build and maintain relationships with agency professionals within CTL and with external agency representatives and partners. Excellent writing and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively articulate the CTL mission, vision and message, strong organizational skills. 
3. Flexible, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of management, staff, and children and families served. Demonstrate a commitment to working well with others. 
4. Work independently with minimum supervision and maximum accountability. Demonstrate strong, creative, strategic, and analytical thinking skills. 
5. Approach women and children served in a non-judgmental, compassionate, and strength-based, trauma-informed manner in order to effectively build alliance. Understand and show compassion as well as maintain professional therapeutic boundaries. Deal with sensitive situations in a non-threatening, professional and supportive manner; show initiative to see what needs to be done and willingness to do it; strong work ethic. 
6. Demonstrate cultural competency through the ability to understand, communicate with and effectively interact with people of various cultural backgrounds. Have a deep understanding of and demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion especially as it relates to race and gender. 
7. Demonstrate knowledge of Windows operating systems and Office products, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, or ability to learn them independently and to use them. Ability to learn and use any other software programs or applications needed in the operations of programs for the purposes of data collection and reporting. 
8. Travel independently and timely for work purposes. 

Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
