Job Summary
The Supervisor of Community Services (IN) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, supervision, and development of staff in the Southern Indiana Community Services programs, which include domestic violence, sexual assault, and prevention services. This position provides trauma-informed leadership, supports compliance with funder and agency standards, and develops collaborative relationships with internal and external partners to enhance service delivery and accessibility. The Supervisor also ensures quality service provision, consistent data collection, and alignment with The Center’s strategic vision and program outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Program Operations & Oversight
- Ensure timely and effective delivery of trauma-informed services to clients across a 9-county region.
- Support day-to-day program logistics including scheduling, mobile advocacy, and event coordination.
- Participate in planning and implementation of program goals and strategic initiatives.
- Represent The Center in the community, including public events, meetings, and coalition activities.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Staff Supervision & Development
- Supervise Indiana-based staff including Advocates, Coordinators, and Leads.
- Conduct regular 1:1 supervision, staff meetings, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Lead staff onboarding, orientation, and ongoing professional development.
- Promote a collaborative, supportive, and accountable team culture.
Community Partnerships & Outreach
- Maintain and grow partnerships with law enforcement, health care providers, schools, and other community-based agencies.
- Communicate clearly about The Center’s services and referral processes to stakeholders.
- Facilitate and deliver community education and training on topics related to intimate partner and sexual violence.
Compliance & Reporting
- Monitor and support accurate documentation, service data, and quality assurance standards.
- Contribute to grant performance reporting, audits, and funder compliance.
- Uphold agency confidentiality, ethics, and legal mandates, including reporting of abuse and neglect.
Administrative & Fiscal Responsibilities
- Participate in budget planning and monitoring of program expenditures.
- Reconcile and manage purchase card and gift card transactions.
- Maintain regular documentation and internal communication using agency systems.
Qualifications
Education & Training
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must complete a minimum of 16 hours of continuing education annually (6 hours must be SA-specific).
Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in human services, crisis intervention, or program supervision.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience required.
- Experience with mobile advocacy, team leadership, and program compliance preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Office 365, smartphones, and data systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coach staff, and problem-solve independently.
Other Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet CWF automobile insurance standards if operating a company vehicle.
- Must have a successful background check.
- Moderate physical activity may be required.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs independently and up to 70 lbs with assistance.
- Regular travel across the Southern Indiana service area is required.
- Ability to work in high-stress environments, requiring emotional resilience and adherence to self-care practices.
