The Family Violence Project VISTA will enhance the current programming for children and their parents residing in our domestic violence shelter by evaluating and revising the project. The goal is to deepen the level of intervention and improve outcomes for children impacted by domestic violence. This will involve a comprehensive assessment of current materials and resources, gathering feedback from clients and staff, and developing a proposal for program enhancements.
Complete a comprehensive assessment of all current materials and resources, identifying key areas for improvement to better meet client needs. This assessment will include gathering feedback from clients and staff and will result in a proposal outlining specific recommendations for revisions.
- Shadow staff as they deliver components of the current programming.
- Interview staff and clients to understand the effectiveness of current programming.
- Analyze the collected data to identify key areas for improvement.
- Based on the assessment, create a detailed report outlining specific recommendations for revisions and updates to the programming.
- Present the findings and recommendations to key stakeholders, including staff and leadership, to ensure alignment and gather additional input.
- Develop a timeline and action plan for implementing the recommended changes, ensuring that all updates are aligned with the organization's goals and client needs.
Develop a comprehensive work plan to recommend revisions.
Pilot the revisions and make any necessary adjustments to ensure ongoing improvement and client satisfaction.
Develop sustainability strategies. Train staff for long-term implementation. Establish a feedback loop.

Applicants must be at least 18 or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
The Center for Women and Families provides free services to people of all genders who have experienced intimate partner violence and sexual assault. We help our clients, and their dependent children become survivors through trauma-informed advocacy. Our goal is to mitigate the impact of their trauma by reducing their risk factors and building their resiliency. We serve anyone in Jefferson, Bullitt, Spencer, Shelby, Oldham, Henry, and Trimble counties in Kentucky and Floyd and Clark counties in Indiana.
