The Center for Workforce Inclusion is recruiting for a Recreation Special Uses position within the Experience Service Program (ESP) that provides support to the United States Forest Service (USFS) in the Regional Office in Lakewood Colorado.
Role and Responsibilities : This position will develop and present recreation special uses training materials and will assist the USFS with :
Developing training materials for recreation special use permit administrators and line officers;
Presenting training materials to retain special use permit administrators and line officers;
Cost recovery and land use bills for special uses. Administering complex special use authorizations and analysis of Special Use Database System (SUDS) reports and user views for use in administration;
Developing the regional special uses assistant position and incumbent, as well as mentoring the multi-forest recreation event coordinator;
Providing advice and guidance to recreation special uses staff for complex situations, as needed; and
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements : Successful candidates must meet the age criteria of being 55 years of age or older and be eligible to work in the United States; able to pass a Federal Background check; have BA / BS with 20 years of experience with recreation special uses program administration. Knowledge of Windows and MS Office Suite systems such as Outlook, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong communication skills and ability to interact well with people from all areas within the agency.
Hours & Compensation : Part-time position working 15 hours per week @ $80 per hour for approximately 7 months.
