Job Overview:
The Operations & Business Development Manager will work closely with, and under the direction of, the VP of Operations & Business Development. This position will be responsible for support in all areas of business development as described below; corporate compliance and process improvement, as appropriate; hands-on HBOT training and companywide safety initiatives; and clinic level assistance during periods of duress (leaves of absences, high turnover/new staff, short staffed, etc.) and/or new center openings.
What You’ll be Doing:
- Support CFWH leadership to ensure clinical, regulatory and accreditation compliance at each wound center and mobile unit.
- Conduct regular audits and develop action plans to address areas of non-compliance or inefficiency, as determined with the VP of Operations & Business Development.
- Support clinic operations as needed, including but not limited to: management, hands-on patient care, and administrative tasks, during leadership transitions and/or staff absences, ensuring continuity and stability.
- Analyze market trends and provide actionable insights to the VP of Operations and Business Development to expand clinic services in existing and developing programs.
- Develop relationships with hospital systems and referring providers to strengthen the presence and reputation of wound and HBO programs as directed by the VP of Operations and Business Development.
- Spearhead initiatives to educate stakeholders (internal/external) about the benefits of HBO therapy, fostering awareness, increased referrals and patient volume.
- Support the planning and execution of clinic openings, expansions, and relocations, ensuring all operational milestones are met, as applicable and appropriate, within budget and timelines.
- Collaborate with clinical authorization and insurance authorization teams to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and improve overall processes.
- Collaborate with HR & Training to support all new hire onboarding and training experience efforts, as well as current staff training, if/as needed.
- Enhance process improvement by introducing new ideas, treatment modalities, or operational processes that enhance wound and HBO program performance.
- Work with the VP of Operations and Development to utilize current reports on clinic performance, including key metrics related to productivity and patient census, goal tracking, and operational efficiency, to identify areas of improvement and action plans for each business unit.
- Assist the VP of Operations & Business Development with strategic marketing initiatives to raise awareness of wound and HBO services, targeting key referral sources and patient demographics.
- Actively contribute to company goals to identify improvement opportunities and strategic recommendations to drive company-wide growth and efficiency.
- Assume responsibility for HBO related administrative tasks, including but not limited to: Sechrist Software related tasks and audits, formalize monthly HBOT training topics (companywide), assist CHTs with renewals, support Training Dept with training plans for new hires, and regularly review and update HBOT training material.
- Assume responsibility for certain Safety related responsibilities, such as: annual clinic safety poster updates, annual corporate HBO manual updates (and signatures), designation and on-going monitoring of Safety Directors at each site, designation of Preceptors for CHT certifications at each site, etc.
- Provide hands-on HBOT training for new hires and existing staff if/when necessary.
- Facilitate CHT meetings as the VP of Operations and Business Development deems necessary.
- Responsible for thorough and accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system in timely manner according to organizational policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Consistently adheres to company, hospital, and accrediting body clinical, safety, and compliance standards.
- Ensures compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) by safeguarding patient information and maintaining the highest level of confidentiality standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements for This Role:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License with positive driving history.
- Currently Licensed EMT with state or national licensure/certification.
- Valid Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from approved agency.
- 2 years of experience working in an outpatient clinic as a CHT.
- 1 years of experience in a marketing or sales type role in the healthcare industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or related systems.
- Proficient in a Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system; Wound Expert and/or Intellicure preferred.
- Willing and able to conduct research, develop systems, enhance processes, and create reports.
- Motivated to work independently and effectively prioritize workload.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to treat others with compassion and patience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
- All employees are required to comply with HIPAA policies and procedures.
Desired Qualifications for This Role:
- Safety Director experience and/or certification.
Travel:
This position requires frequent ground and/or air travel, up to 75% of the time.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an Operations & Business Development Manager to successfully perform the essential competencies, duties, and requirements of this position. These include standing, walking, driving, lifting up to 50 pounds and sitting for extended periods of time and looking at a computer screen for extended periods of time. In addition, pushing, pulling, stooping, squatting and shifting heavy objects, as well as air travel, may be required. Employees should ask for assistance if needed.
