Description
Public Relations, Marketing, and Communications Manager (PRMCM) responsibilities include working closely with the owner to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets of marketing. You will perform various tasks like scheduling and communication, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and handling financial queries. The PRMCM will be providing some of the information that forms what the customer interprets as the “Voice” of Center Grove Orchard (CGO). It will be the PRMCM’s responsibility to ensure the information marketed is in action at the farm level amongst the staff and general farm setup. In addition, it will be the PRMCM’s role to keep all full-time staff as well as seasonal staff up-to-date on regular changes happening around the farm so that each staff is aware of the new changes.
To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills as you’ll collaborate with the owner, internal team members, and outside vendors to deliver results on deadlines.
Roles & Responsibilities
Ultimately, the PRMCM’s duties are to ensure that all marketing is completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards of CGO. In addition, the PRMCM will ensure the “Voice” of CGO matches the customer’s experience by communicating the mission and vision as customers enjoy the environment and attractions.
- Responsibilities:
- Develop social media calendar
- Coordinate with advertising firms
- Create daily social media posts, including video/live video
- Set a yearly calendar covering, but not limited to:
- Online store
- All visitor seasons—Spring, Fall, and Holiday
- Farm Camp
- Plan and execute Season Pass and admission ticket sales
- Create and place on-farm promotional materials, including:
- Restroom flyers
- Table flyers/napkin holder inserts
- Promotions at Admissions
- Banners/signage
- InFARMation boards
- Country Store retail signage
- Store opening
- Festival weekends
- U-Pick Produce
- Thanksgiving Sale/ Open house
- Christmas Season
- Maintain listings and continue relationships with travel and tourism organizations
- Develop and market opportunities for large group outings for businesses
- Assist in developing yearly theme and assisting in executing set-up and layout
- Act as a point of contact with vendors developing advertising media for CGO
- Develop talking points for media interviews
- Coordinate a float for summer parades to promote CGO
Manage Media
- Communicate with graphic design artist to complete tasks
- Develop video marketing

Family Donation

Customer Communications
- Reply to customer emails via Help Scout platform
- Manage onsite phone system and messages
- Respond to customers by phone or email in a timely manner
- Reply to customer inquiries via social media
Staff Communications
- Organize and conduct weekly staff meetings
- Keep staff facing clock-in screens up to date
- Oversee and roll out PCA’s
- Compile Game Plans from Action Plans to present to staff
- Create media to convey weekend happenings to staff in season
- Create weekly updates memos, staff updates of events during season, ensuring that communications to and among staff and guests is accurate and consistent, including: so that staff communications to guests is consistent, including: to publish in a staff message matching what is said amongst all touch points is consistent:

- Organize regular meetings with relevant staff to keep them current with operational changes

- Assist in the development and layout of new attractions and features
- Develop themes throughout the Farmyard
- Assist in execution of yearly Farm themes

Website/POS Management
- Oversee website to maintain a consistent “Voice”
- Set up all POS layout screens
- Schedule website content
- Create tickets and events
- Ensure that all fees for group events are invoiced and collected
- Work with IT provider regarding WIFI access

Events & Group Lead Coordinator - Sub Role
The role of the Events and Group Lead Coordinator is to primarily assist the owner with group and event booking and scheduling, promoting and expanding on group bookings, and finding the right events and vendors to be a good fit for each season.
Responsibilities
Coordinate Festival Weekends
- Book entertainment
- Communicate events internally to relevant staff members
- Work with owner to develop new festival weekends
- Oversee set up and tear down of festival entertainment
- Set schedule of each day’s events
- Assign tasks to your team members
- Oversee vendor set up and payments, and to insure invoices are paid timely
- Maintain costumes’ cleanliness and location
Manage Corporate and Group Outings
- Act as a point of contact with guest inquiries for outings
- Oversee student interns or staff assigned to groups
- Communicate to Food staff needs for food and beverage for events
Organize and Execute Staff Fall Harvest Party
- Book a suitable venue
- Determine a budget for event
- Pick a menu
- Find activities/games many staff members can participate in
- Create a written schedule for the evening
- Communicate to CGO leaders who will take part in thank you mentions to staff in their areas
- Work with venue and CGO staff to set up room layout and table decorations
Staff Management
- Recruit, train, and schedule Events staff

Requirements:Qualifications
High School Diploma
Bachelor Degree preferred In lieu of a degree, 2 or more years of experience may suffice
Working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
Familiarity with or ability to learn relevant software, including Canva, Shopify, Basecamp, and others
Experience managing Meta (Facebook and Instagram) profiles, pages, and advertising
Comfortable in high pressure and fast pace environments
Conduct oneself in a friendly and professional manner.
Effective writing, speaking, presenting and listening skills
Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
