Lifeguard and Swim Instructor

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and reliable Swim Instructor to join our team. As a Swim Instructor, you will lead small group classes, providing personalized, engaging, and effective swim instruction to swimmers of all levels. You'll work in a warm, inviting environment with a focus on fun and safety, helping students build confidence and develop their swimming skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead swim classes for various age groups and skill levels, ensuring a fun and engaging experience for all participants.
• Provide individualized instruction and feedback in small class sizes.
• Ensure a safe swimming environment by closely monitoring students during lessons.
• Promote water safety and teach essential swimming techniques.
• Communicate effectively with students and parents to track progress.
• Maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages learning and improvement.
• Ensure that all pool safety protocols and policies are adhered to.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Current Lifeguard Certification (or the ability to obtain it upon hire).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with children and adults.
• Enthusiastic, patient, and encouraging personality.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 20 per week
