Job Description
We are seeking professional Mental Health Support Specialists to join our team at the Center of Excellence in Upper Marlboro, MD.
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is responsible for observing and monitoring patients in treatment, reporting as indicated, and contributing to the welfare of the organization. They assist patients in various activities and maintain a safe and secure environment.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate and enforce facility program rules in a firm but fair and professional manner.
- Report patient behavior to the immediate supervisor and clinical team as appropriate.
- Address problem behaviors through verbal de-escalation techniques.
- Adhere to time schedules.
- Maintain healthy and professional boundaries with patients and staff.
- Ensure timely, consistent, clear, accurate, and legible documentation.
Schedule: 12-hour shifts. We accept applications for all shifts/hours.
