OVERVIEW
The WorkOne Center Manager is responsible for the supervision of services and staff inside the WorkOne offices in Northwest Indiana as well as field staff and all other formal, informal One Stop Partner groups. The Center Manager facilitates and monitors all day-to-day activities within the WorkOne office. The Center Manager ensures positive customer engagement in the WorkOne office and within the community. The primary objective for the Center Manager position is creating a positive work culture for staff and customers consistent with the vision and mission of NWIWB and CWI, whose core values include: innovative leadership; customer focus; respect for individuals; continuous improvement and accountability resulting in performance/outcome achievement; and collaboration. Key deliverables for this position include meeting outlined performance metrics, connecting customers to jobs at all stages of customer process, and high standards of customer service delivery.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establishes and develops performance measurement goals with regular quarterly progress reviews to ensure target goals are met by direct report staff
- Facilitates the continuous improvement of the Regional WorkOne system through collaboration and functional alignment of many groups.
- Serves as a member of the Leadership team and facilitates meetings to ensure coordination, execution, collaboration, and quality of services.
- Develops strategies in collaboration with upper leadership and direct reports to achieve short- and long-term goals/objectives.
- Effectively communicates/collaborates with other managers, direct reports to utilize MIS/ICC reports to encourage successful enrollments, MSG, credentials, and employment placements.
- Provides and/or coordinates professional development as needed for reporting staff.
- Regularly runs and analyzes reports to ensure minimal errors and performance measures are met.
- Initiates both coaching and celebrations of positive progress which includes - regular review of reports and discussions with MIS to identify patterns of data integrity issues.
- Proactively coaches staff to improve quality and accuracy of data in case management, customer relationship management, and other databases.
- Makes recommendations to CWI for policies needed in the field or policy changes, and then oversees the implementation of new or changed policies.
- Understands and interprets WIOA, UI, Wagner-Peyser, and other funding streams’ requirements and outcomes in order to meet outlined performance metrics.
- Conducts interviews and orientation for new reporting staff. Reviews new hire progress throughout the training phases.
- Orders office supplies.
- Maintains office emergency plans and trains staff appropriately.
- Ensures Equal Opportunity/ADA/Migrant and Seasonal Farm Workers compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
EXPERIENCE
- 6 years experience in project management, business, human resources, training or similar field. Experience with workforce development is preferred
- Must have supervisory experience

- Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

- Competent in providing training and leading meetings both one on one and in group settings on a range of topics.

- Must be able to work independently yet meet specific deadlines, work with professional staff and trainees alike, and be flexible and fill in when necessary for staffing/office needs.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Primarily works in an office setting however, must travel to meetings in the region or to the employer’s place of business to gather information. May work long hours and perform work outside the standard business day.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand.
- Ability to travel, have a valid driver’s license, and insurance coverage liability limits of $100,000/$300,000
