Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team to perform general medical disability examinations (Disability Benefits Questionnaires - DBQs) for Veterans within the listed location. The Nurse Practitioner will provide advanced nursing care to patients in various healthcare settings under the supervision of a licensed physician.
Responsibilities
- Complete one time C&P exams (Compensation and Pension exams) with no scheduled follow ups
- No treatment and no prescribing involved
- Gain valuable professional experience and work closely with America’s heroes
- New Grads Welcome
- Diagnose Disabilities
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
Experience:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in ICD-9 coding for accurate medical documentation
- Experience in Primary Care
- Exceptional clinical and communicative skills.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- EMR experience is helpful
- Detail oriented, confident, and present professionally
- Ability to perform general assessments
