If you have experience cooking for 20 people per meal, creative flair and knack for desserts, this job offers you some compelling opportunities. You will prepare meals to meet diverse dietary guidelines, including gluten free, eating disorders, vegan, allergies, etc. Your creations may be featured on our website or in brochures. Create nutritious, balanced menus comprised food cooked from scratch in a large, state-of-the-art family-style kitchen.
Hours : Sunday- Thursday, 7 am and 3 : 30 pm
Pay : $25 - $30 per hour depending on experience
Each meal should be a complete course comprised of a protein, vegetable, salad, carbohydrate, and dessert. Together with the Facility Manager, you will plan and price menu items and order supplies.
Additionally you will :
- Preparing and cooking foods of all types, on a regular basis and for special guests or function
- Maintaining menus to ensure no duplication from one chef to the next and to assist with ordering and budget adherence
- Monitoring sanitation practices and maintaining cleanliness of kitchen, cooking, and storage areas
- Determining how food should be presented and creating decorative food displays
- Adjusting and developing recipes and menus, considering such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients and the estimated number of clients when creating menus each week
