POSITION SUMMARY
Assist the site superintendent by providing leadership and being responsible for, although not limited to : scheduling, planning, coordinating, supervising, assisting in cost control and safety, consistently and fairly applying all policies and procedures, proper training and productivity of crews at the job site.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential functions include but are not limited to the following :
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to crew members.
- Supervise the field crew ensuring that all work is completed according to blueprints and specifications.
- Ensure all crew members operate equipment and machinery in the correct and safe manner.
- Track and report resources, equipment and supplies for job site to site superintendent.
- Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of OSHA requirements.
- Enforce and ensure compliance with all safety (OSHA) standards and regulations.
- Communicate daily progress reports to the site superintendent.
- Use on-the-job training to advance the crew’s skills and knowledge.
- Install conveyors accurately from the blueprints and / or schematics.
- Diagnose and repair conveyor problems as needed.
- Perform conveyor maintenance as required.
- Provide technical support to customers and other technicians.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

To perform this job successfully, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, crouch or crawl on multiple surfaces. The employee will use hands to grasp, twist, squeeze, push, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; use hand tools and power tools. The employee is frequently required to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds without assistance. The employee may be required to lift items over 100 pounds with weight handling equipment or assistance from other workers. It is required to be able to climb stairs, inclines, and ladders. The employee must be comfortable working at various heights.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work on job sites, which may be located indoors or outdoors, depending on the project. The employee will be exposed to various weather conditions. The employee will utilize all required personal protective equipment and will occasionally work in hot or cold, noisy conditions where material particles from grinding and other operations may occasionally be present. The employee may also be exposed to chemical fumes, hazardous materials and corrosive chemicals, grease, dust, dirt, and dangerous objects.
