Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer, PE will be responsible for designing electrical services for communications facilities including performing fault calculations and voltage drop calculations.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do:

  • Perform electrical load calculations
  • Design feeder and branch circuits
  • Perform Voltage Drop and Arc Fault calculations
  • Analyze interior and exterior lighting design and photometric analysis
  • Work on life safety design for lighting and fire alarm
  • Perform energy calculations
  • Maintain client relations
  • Must be comfortable with up to 10% travel

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology
  • At least 2 years of mostly self-directed experience in electrical system design for commercial buildings
  • Extensive proficiency using AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT, MS Word, and MS Excel
  • Experience working in multi-discipline teams
  • Experience working with standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
  • Proven demonstration of task ownership and the ability to meet technical requirements and work schedule
  • Basic knowledge and a general understanding of the National Electrical Code and building codes related to engineering design
  • An understanding of the physical demands - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit at a computer workstation and work for prolonged periods; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (preferably in GA or TX)

 

Position Type:

  • This is a full-time position.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
