CenterPlace Health believes that each employee makes a significant contribution to our success. CenterPlace Health is currently looking for a Dental - Patient Service Representative.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Creates new account if patient not in the system.
• Obtains current patient information from established and new patients.
• Accurately enters/updates patient information in EHR system.
• Identifies payer source, verifies insurance eligibility, financial status and assigns correct pay type.
Pre-Visit:
• Accurately pre-screens medical/dental records.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and obtains authorizations for dates of service.
• Reviews EHR System for needed updated insurances, demographics and forms and updates EHR as appropriate.
• Assures patient reminders are completed daily.
Scheduling:
• Identifies patients by date of birth and name in computer system.
• Schedules and re-schedules appointments as needed.
• Calls No Show appointments to reschedule and makes appropriate notations in EHR.
• Performs prescreening process for add-on appointments.
• Routinely demonstrates superior customer service skills:
· Answers telephone in a timely and polite manner, preferably within three rings.
· Communicates with customers in a courteous, professional, cooperative, and mature manner.
· Accurately takes messages and conveys information to recipient.
· Transfers call to Triage RN when medically indicated
Patient Visit:
• Notes patient arrival in Electronic Health Record.
• Checks patient into EHR timely and accurately.
• Assures any missing information is complete and accurately entered in EHR.
• Assists patients with completion of paperwork when necessary.
• Reviews EHR workflow order overview at completion of visit and follows up as appropriate.
• Checks out patient at the end of visit
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS):
- High School Graduate or GED
- Ability to effectively interact with physicians, patients, and other staff.
- Demonstrated knowledge of proper, safe, and efficient use of current office equipment/software.
- Demonstrated knowledge/ability to use Office 365 programs, including Outlook and Word.
- Effective use of Electronic Health Records.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS):
- Bilingual candidates preferred.
- Translation for patient/provider (as necessary) if bilingual
- Medical/Dental office experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of medical/dental terminology preferred.
