Job Summary
The primary focus of this position is to serve as CenterPoint Energy’s (CNP) liaison between internal and external proess improvement to uphold the company’s positive image. This person will work with leadership and across all departments to develop and implement strategy for better proess improvement and communication in order to achieve CNP’s strategies, goals and objectives.
Essential Functions
- Collaborates on the planning, development and execution of local strategies that support CNP’s corporate strategy, goals and objectives.
- Builds relationships with key members of internal and external stakeholders and staffs to achieve consensus and coalitions through networking, developing rapport, generating interest, and aligning common interests and concerns.
- Acts as a liasion for CNP on issues before internal and external stakeholders.
- Works with cross functional CNP departments to ensure CNP’s strategic plans and goals are represented during the continuous improvement process.
- Coordinates with government affairs, regulatory, key accounts, operations and business units to resolve escalated issues.
- Interfaces between CNP’s regulatory, governmental affairs, legal, environmental, community relations, public relations, and operations to advance CNP’s local agenda and ensure consistent messaging.
- Actively participates in local events, community meetings and non-profit events to advance CNP’s positive imagine and business agenda.
- Coordinates local entertainment events utilizing CNP’s sponsorships and available resources.
- Coordinates with all internal CNP stakeholders to ensure agendas are aligned.
- Communicates local issues and trends that could impact the Company, to management.
- Interfaces with municipal leagues to represent CNP’s corporate strategy, goals and objectives.
- Manages grassroots efforts to leverage community leaders and CNP employees’ involvement in the customer experience improvement process.
- Bachelor's degree required from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 4 years of work experience in economics, business management or similar related studies
