- Implements Field Operation’s strategic plan. Monitors plan results to ensure the highest level of customer driven, safe, cost effective, quality results that assure compliance with all internal and external codes, policy, procedures, and standards.
- Participates in Field Operations development of department goals, expense/capital budgets and collective bargaining contract administration. Participates in a manner that supports department, company and corporate objectives, values, and services.
- Coordinates fleet maintenance and maintains adequate supply of materials, equipment, tools, and supplies to complete work.
- Cost effectively manages Field Operation activities to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. Initiates regular contact with internal and external customers to understand their needs and expectations and build positive relations. Resolves customer complaints in a timely and constructive manner.
- Implements and administers policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for our customers, employees, and the public. Includes supervising emergency situations, assuming weekly night callout as required, promoting safety awareness to employees, and assuring the availability of safety equipment to ensure the customer an adequate and safe energy supply.
- Must report/respond to jobsites when emergencies are occurring any time of day, night, or weekend.
- Required to participate in CenterPoint Energy's Emergency Operation Plan (EOP).
- Able to be included in random drug screen pool required for DOT safety sensitive positions.
- Able to work indoors in an office environment and outdoors with occasional exposure to all weather conditions, equipment, and noise when at field installation sites.
- Able to work regular hours, with occasional or mandatory overtime; may be required to work rotating shifts.
- Able to respond to emergency calls and/or callouts and occasionally return to work while off duty.
- Able to handle emergency situations, including possible exposure to gaseous atmospheres on occasion.
