Centerpoint Health is an FQHC seeking a Health Information Analyst for our community health center. We have locations in Franklin, Middletown, and Norwood, OH. We provide services in primary health care, dental, ob-gyn, and behavioral health, and are looking for a Health Information Analyst to join our amazing team!
The Health Information Analyst will use their knowledge of healthcare, information systems and technology to organize, analyze, and use information to improve healthcare. This position will interact with clinic leadership, the IT and EHR vendor, clinical staff, and patients to enhance the impact of health information technology on clinical processes, outcomes, and resources. The Health Information Analyst provides technical support and oversight for all projects related to the Electronic Health Record (EHR), including EHR staff training, EHR optimization, the design and editing of forms and templates, and data analytics tools. He/she will also lead implementation of new EHR functionality, including but not limited to, new EHR updates, patient portals, e-campaigns, and patient apps.
Job Duties:
Provide project management, oversight, testing and audits for implementations and upgrades to the EHR.
Develop and provide continuous staff training, education, and support to maximize the EHR’s usage and effectiveness.
Ensure all EHR users comply with organizational and legal standards.
Support the development of policies and procedures for EHR users.
Build forms and templates to maximize clinical efficiency while maintaining strict data sets and reporting capability.
Assist in the development and maintenance of data models that will support the organization’s needs.
Establish and maintains data definitions and routinely monitors integrity of key data elements. Recommends corrective strategies and provides support to programs to ensure timely correction.
Integrate data from the EHR or other sources to provide data for analysis and/or reporting.
Support the Quality Director with analytic reporting for federal, state, program, regulatory or other entities. Includes internal analytic reporting for the Board of Directors and Board Committees.
Work effectively with vendors (IT, EHR and others) to troubleshoot, document, and resolve technical issues.
Participate in monthly Quality Committee meetings and other meetings as identified.
Provide internal leadership, education, and support to ensure all levels of the organization including the Board understand the critical role of Health Information in the organization.
Other job-related duties as assigned.
Certifications/Credentials:
Education: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and work experience required to perform the job duties.
Certification and Licensure: Obtain Certification with EMR within 6 months of hire. Preference given to candidates with a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) credential, or health information/informatics certificate.
Additional Skills/Qualifications:
Minimum three years of experience working with EMR systems. Experience with eClinical Works is a plus.
Minimum three years project management experience.
Excellent project management and time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with multidisciplinary staff.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Experience in a community health environment preferred.
Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure: Category III
