Job Summary:


The Human Resources Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. The role is critical in managing recruitment, onboarding, training, compensation, benefits, and ensuring legal compliance. The HR Manager will also support the company’s strategic goals by advising on employment policies, performance management, and employee relations to foster a positive and productive work environment.


Key Responsibilities: Recruitment & Staffing:


  • Collaborate with department heads to identify hiring needs.
  • Pre-screen candidates, schedule and conduct interviews, and check references.
  • Manage job postings, recruitment databases, and applicant tracking systems.


Onboarding:

  • Facilitate orientation programs for new employees, ensuring they are introduced to company policies, culture, and procedures.
  • Coordinate necessary training sessions and assist new hires with setup processes (IT, office equipment, paperwork etc.).


Training & Development:

  • Design and implement employee training programs to help employees succeed in their roles.
  • Conduct skills gap analysis and organize training sessions as needed.
  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.


Compensation & Payroll:

  • Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time by coordinating with the payroll department.
  • Assist with salary reviews, bonuses, and compensation packages to remain competitive.


Benefits Management:

  • Plan and oversee employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Communicate benefit information to employees and answer related queries.


Compliance & Employment Law:

  • Ensure the company is in compliance with local, state, and national employment laws.
  • Stay updated on changes in labor laws and regulations, and advise management accordingly.


Policy Development & Advising:

  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures in line with the company's strategic goals.
  • Provide guidance to management on employment policies.


Performance Management:

  • Monitor employee performance, attendance, and productivity.
  • Implement performance review systems and assist managers in conducting appraisals.


Employee Relations & Discipline:

  • Handle disciplinary actions, mediate employee disputes, and manage conflict resolution.
  • Provide support to employees with workplace issues, concerns, or grievances.


Health, Safety, & Welfare:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Collaborate with safety officers to conduct safety audits and training sessions.


HR Consultancy:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to management on various HR issues, including employee relations, workforce planning, and conflict resolution.
  • Advise on sensitive issues such as equal employment opportunity, sexual harassment, and employee wellness programs.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field OR work experience in Human Resources.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and handle sensitive employee information.
  • Proficiency in HR software and MS Office suite.
