We seek a highly skilled IT Specialist to join our Thompson Creek team, reporting to the Director, Infrastructure & Operations. The IT Specialist will provide critical support for our end-users, focusing on desktop and network support.
Your responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing robust IT systems, covering data, applications, computing hardware, network infrastructure, telecommunications, radio communications, and support equipment.
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient information exchange.
- Safeguarding sensitive company data and intellectual property.
- Enhancing overall system performance and minimizing downtime.
- Building and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure top-tier products and services.
- Managing IT budgets and planning resource allocation to meet evolving business needs.
- Participating in project planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure timely delivery of IT solutions.
- Communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration across departments.

About You
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT, preferably in a senior or leadership capacity.

- Proven experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS or Azure.
- Expertise in cybersecurity, threat detection, and incident response.
- Experience with ITIL framework implementation and process improvements.
