POSITION SUMMARY
The Badge Office Specialist is an important role in credentialing and access control by coordinating and facilitating DOE HQ site specific badges and HSPD-12 credentials. Candidates will perform badging and access-related operations. The ability to work in a high-volume office environment with high attention to detail is desired. Intermediate or advanced knowledge of computer, electronic software systems, and MS Office software is highly desired.
Pay Transparency : $39.06 / hr
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate, and facilitate electronic data to produce DOE Headquarters site-specific badges at multiple clearance levels
- Utilizing knowledge of DOE orders, ensure badge production is consistent with policies
- Audit and verify specific electronic data points to each individual assigned badge
- Process and maintain the electronic and paper personnel files of customer
- Communicate and interact professionally with all customers and clients
- Greet guests as they arrive inside the office
- Provide professional communication on the phone, electronic mail, and in-person
- Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and friendly manner
- Read and enter identifiable information into multiple electronic software systems
- Operate computer, scanner, camera, shredder, and printer
- Ensure work area is tidy and presentable
- Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8 : 00 am to 4 : 00 pm.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
