What are the responsibilities and job description for the Continuous Improvement Specialist (25-04) position at Centerra-SRS?
- Analyzes business, administrative, and protective force processes to evaluate compliance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Identifies opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce costs, maximize asset utilization through application of performance improvement methodologies.
- Assists employees in the facilitation and accomplishment of performance improvement projects that result in measurable improvement in metrics.
- Analyzes data to identify trends, patterns and performance levels that suggest opportunities for improvement. Ensures meaningful data is being collected, analyzed and displayed graphically to facilitate process improvement. Breaks down complex issues and identifies key drivers. Researches best practices.
- Administers the Centerra-SRS Issues Management Program. Responsible for the overall administrative management of the SRS STAR (Site Tracking, Analysis, and Reporting) database. Analyzes and tracks all deficiencies, both internal and external, to determine if there is a pattern or trend. Assigns the appropriate significance category.
- Plans, organizes, schedules and conducts the Deficiency Analysis Group meetings, including and facilitating causal analysis and developing the corrective action plan. Assigns verification and validation actions as required. Monitors suspense dates for corrective actions.
- Develops and distributes STAR and Deficiency Analysis Reports as required.
- Manages Centerra-SRS Employees Leading and Improving Toward Excellence (ELITE) suggestion program. Solicits and encourages suggestions from employees to improve operational processes to improve efficiencies, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction. Works with Managers and others to evaluate suggestions and serves as an advocate for implementation. Develops and delivers reports on the status and performance of the ELITE program. Recognizes employee efforts and accomplishments through implementation of the ELITE program.
- Prepares department reports as required. Participates in assigned special inquiries and investigations.
- Must perform all responsibilities for environment, safety and health as defined in Procedure 1-3100 and adhere to the principles and functions of Integrated Safety Management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Two years of professional experience analyzing and developing solutions to organizational issues or developing business processes and systems.
- Familiar with analytical tools and processes.
- Experience using databases, spreadsheets, and other business applications
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a DOE “L” security clearance.
- Panel Interview - 30 minutes
- Written/Practical Exercise – 60 minutes
