The CDC utilizes Direct / Expedited Hire Authorities to fill vacancies in a variety of occupations. This vacancy is a REPOSITORY of applications. Duties and responsibilities vary and may increase according to the grade level of the position. Basic Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications :
At least 1 year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, to include experience promoting the awareness of security issues ensuring sound security principles; and ensuring promotion of shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flow.
At least 1 year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, to include experience advising on all assigned information security support programs and initiatives aimed at identifying and safeguarding systems; and applying the theoretical foundations of computer science and computer system architecture.
At least 1 year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, to include experience providing regular and recurring advisory services to other state and local agencies on the selection, development, architecture, design and use of data systems and technologies; and reviewing IT security programs to assess overall compliance with cybersecurity plans and policies.
At least 1 year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, to include experience providing leadership in the direction, development, testing, implementation and evaluation of health informatics and information technology systems; investigating advanced information processing technologies and tools to enhance the data collection; and evaluating the impact of new cybersecurity guidance.
Promotion potential : Promotion to the next grade level is at management's discretion and is based on your meeting qualifications and time-in-grade requirements, demonstrated ability to perform the higher-level duties, the continuing need for the higher-level duties, and administrative approval. Promotion to the next grade level is not guaranteed and no promise of promotion is implied.
Education
A copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying based on education or a combination of education and experience. An official transcript will be required if you are selected.
A college or university degree generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
FOREIGN EDUCATION : Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
