Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care by assisting ophthalmologists with various clinical tasks. Responsibilities
- Perform preliminary eye exams, including visual acuity tests and tonometry.
- Assist with diagnostic testing, such as visual field tests and retinal imaging.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit.
- Provide support in medical billing and coding processes to ensure proper insurance claims.
- Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries.
- Educate patients about procedures, treatments, and post-operative care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with the ophthalmology team to enhance patient care and streamline workflow.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Knowledge of physiology related to eye health and vision.
- Familiarity with medical billing, coding, and records management.
- Experience in optical retail sales or understanding of retail math is a plus.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, preferably Epic.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
