What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Aide position at Centers Health Care?
Beth Abraham Center is hiring a Resident Service Aide in Bronx, NY.
Part Time: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Twice a week).
Duties and Requirements:
- Maintains a high level of cleanliness & safety throughout designated areas
- Ensure that all equipment is clean and in working condition at all times
- Removal of trash & soiled linens.
- Collects, sorts, washes, dries, folds and distributes all laundry items to residents
- Presses/irons garments as requested
- Labels residents’ personal laundry and linens as directed
- Cleans dryer filters as necessary
- Ensures adequate supply of laundry supplies are in stock
- Notifies supervisor when supplies are low
- Keeps laundry carts clean and in good working order
- Properly stores equipment, tools and supplies
- Keeps a log of missing items, and returns them when found
- Reports any mechanical or equipment needs to supervisor
- Reports any questionable resident conditions to supervisor
- Must be able to work as a team member
- Solid work ethic, with initiative for quality and customer service
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be reliable & keep to schedule
- Must be a Legal Citizen of the United States of America
