Northern Riverview Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is actively seeking Medical Technicians to join our team at the Assisted Living Program in Havenstraw, New York. Our team provides top-notch care to our residents, and we are looking for skilled professionals to help us deliver exceptional services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pour and administer medications accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure consistency between physician prescriptions, blister packs, and medications poured for each resident.
• Process timely and accurate medication orders and renewals.
• Review medication refill logs to compare with medications in storage cabinets.
• Review 'no-refill' orders in the refill log and fax requests to physicians as needed.
• Verify receipt, storage, and documentation of delivered medications.
• Maintain open communication with the Medication Supervisor to clarify entitlements, prescriptions, and deliveries.
• Accurately document medical and medication information for all residents in their designated files.
• Report residents who missed or refused medications to supervisors and case management.
• Attend mandatory scheduled in-service training programs.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Previous experience and/or training as a Medical Technician is preferred.
• A post-high school course of study in medical services or a college degree is highly valued.
• The ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in the English language is essential.
• Familiarity with the needs of the infirm and the elderly is crucial for success in this role.
