Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to collect blood samples from patients in a clinical laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify patients using wristbands, documents, or visual identification
- Receives assignments, assembles supplies, and equipment required for specimen collection according to established standards, policies, and procedures
- Determine the right venipuncture method based on patient age, health, etc.
- Draw blood using proper equipment and techniques
Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent; Phlebotomy Technician certificate preferred
- 2 years of experience as a phlebotomist; must have completed a hospital or major lab training program without certificate
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work nights, evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts
