- You will identify patients using wristbands, documents, or visual identification.
- Assemble the necessary supplies and equipment for specimen collection according to established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Determine the priority of samples based on Stat, timed, or routine requirements.
- Select the appropriate venipuncture method based on patient age and health.
You will also ensure that all sharps, needles, and equipment are out of reach of patients and properly disposed of.
