UM Coordinator5297 W Copans Rd, Margate, FL 33063, USAReq #1209Monday, December 2, 2024Centers Plan for Healthy Living's goal is to create the ultimate healthcare experience that provides our members, their families, healthcare decision makers, and general caregivers with the guidance and plans they need for healthy living.JOB SUMMARY : The Utilization Management Care Coordinator works within a multidisciplinary care team to assist with the care of members enrolled in our Managed Long Term Care program and facilitate authorization requests for eligible members.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES : Assists in the prior authorization of services and ongoing authorization requestsAssists in completing authorization updates as needed based on the care plan of the memberCoordinates with providers regarding authorization activitiesCoordinates communication between authorization clinical staff, members and providers as neededAct as liaison and member advocate between the member / family, physician(s) and the care team to ensure timely and effective communication in regards to the member’s careParticipates in case round meetings and on-going education activitiesEnsures that all job responsibilities are carried out in compliance with CPHL and State and Federal regulationsOther assigned dutiesEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : EducationRequired : HS DiplomaPreferred : Bachelor’s DegreeType of ExperienceRequired : Strong written and verbal communication skillsComputer proficiencyStrong multi-tasking abilitiesPreferred : Experience working within a managed care environmentSpecific Technical SkillsPreferred : Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsCertifications / Licensure : Required : NoneSCOPE INFORMATIONDirect Reports : 0PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
