About the Role:
You will evaluate and treat patients with communication disorders, including swallowing difficulties, cognitive impairments, and more. You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and provide training and education on alternative communication systems. Your expertise in speech and language pathology will make a significant impact on the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Evaluate and treat patients with communication disorders in their homes
* Develop and implement individualized care plans that address each patient's unique needs
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
* Provide instruction and training to patients and their families on alternative communication systems
Requirements:
* Meet the education and experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA
* Minimum of six months experience as a speech therapist/speech-language pathologist
* Current and unrestricted license
* Good organizational and communication skills
