About the Job
We are seeking a certified speech language pathologist to join our team as a per diem speech language pathologist. In this role, you will evaluate and provide therapy for patients with speech and language disorders in the home or facility. You will participate in the development and periodic review of the Plan of Treatment and Plan of Care, and utilize professional skills and judgment in assessing and treating disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing and swallowing.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, direct and provide speech/language pathology services to patients in the home or facility
- Participate in the development and periodic review of the Plan of Treatment and Plan of Care
- Utilize professional skills and judgment in assessing and treating disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing and swallowing
- Administer and interpret diagnostic tests and applications of therapeutic treatments
- Observe, record and report changes in the patient's condition and response to treatment
- Provide instruction and training to patients in use of alternative communication systems when appropriate
