The Role
- Evaluate and treat disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing, and swallowing in patients' homes or facilities.
- Administer and interpret diagnostic tests and applications of therapeutic treatments.
- Provide instruction and training in alternative communication systems when necessary.
- Maintain and submit documentation as required by the facility.
- Prepare timely written reports of evaluations, visits, summaries, care plans, and progress reports.
- Participate in care coordination activities and discharge planning.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.
Requirements
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA.
- At least six months of experience as a speech therapist/speech-language pathologist.
- Home Health experience is preferred.
- Current and unrestricted license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
