Job Description
As a Physical Therapist Assistant with CenterWell Home Health, you will play a vital role in implementing treatment plans developed by physical therapists, administering therapeutic exercises and modalities, and documenting patient progress accurately. You will coordinate care, schedule clients, and ensure compliance with health regulations while promoting a professional image.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the physical therapist.
- Administer non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction heat, light, cold, water, and electrical modalities to patients.
- Accurately document daily, weekly, or monthly records of clients' progress and submit clinical paperwork to the office on time each week.
- Attend educational meetings and contribute to departmental in-services.
- Notify the physical therapist or Executive Director of any equipment failures, lack of supplies, staff or client changes, and other departmental concerns.
- Schedule clients and perform various office tasks.
- Apply concepts of infection control and universal precautions in performing patient care activities.
- Accept clinical assignments consistent with education and competence to care for patients.
