About the role
This position is for a DevOps Engineering Lead in Boulder, CO. You will be working closely with a team of talented engineers to create and secure on premise systems in a government development lab, as well as in cloud-based domains and systems on C2S. You will also have the opportunity to grow and sharpen your skills with other talented members of Centil . The candidate who will be successful in this role should have a strong System Administrator background with Linux experience and a desire to learn container orchestration (such as Kubernetes).
What you"ll do
If selected for this role, you will work with and provide leadership to a DevSecOps team in a lab environment to build and maintain DevOps pipelines, infrastructure and environments. You will also work with vendors that are developing software applications in support of US Space Force missions, in order to facilitate integration into the lab environment, automation of testing and deploys, and transition to operational facilities. Our current technology focuses on Rancher infrastructure and implementation of PlatformOne"s Big Bang architecture. In this role, you will contribute to all phases of the system lifecycle including design and development, integration, test, and maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Current Secret security clearance or higher
- Strong understanding of DoD DevSecOps and Agile methodologies, with experience integrating security into the development lifecycle
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years' professional experience, or 11 years professional experience without a bachelor"s degree
- Expertise in Linux system administration, particularly RHEL 7
- Hands on experience with container orchestration (such as Kubernetes, RKE2 or OpenShift (RHOCP)
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues across storage, OS, applications and networks
- Experience working in Continuous Integration (CI) environments
- In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes deployment configurations, including Kustomize, Helm, and umbrella charting
- Strong scripting skills in Unix environments, with experience in Bash and Python
- Proficiency with version control and workflow tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence
- Experience managing binary registries such as Artifactory, Docker Registry, Harbor, or Nexus
- Familiarity with cloud environments and monitoring tools, preferably within AWS
- Ability to collaborate with multiple vendors to integrate and deploy their products within secure environments
- 5 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining CI / CD pipelines
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Ansible and Terraform
- Experience implementing and maintaining Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) tools
- Willingness to work on site in Boulder, CO 3-4 days per week
- Demonstrated experience implementing security controls aligned with NIST 800-53 guidelines.
- Knowledge of or exposure to Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) programs
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google GCP
- Understanding of test automation and how to implement GitLab CI / CD
- Experience with static analysis tools and integrating these tools into a pipeline (Fortify, SonarQube)
- Experience with infrastructures necessary to support AI / ML applications
- Experience using Helm for Kubernetes deployments
- Infrastructure implementation of virtualized hosts in VMWare.
- Basic network understanding and diagnostics
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills. Ability to passionately deliver high-level messaging to various types of audiences this will eventually include senior leaders. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical personnel

- DoD Secret or higher clearance is preferred. All applicants must be US citizens eligible for a US Government security clearance

Expected Salary Range
Depending on experience and skillset, most candidates will earn between $150,000 and $200,000 per year.
