About the role

This position is for the MDPAP Training Lead. Work location will vary between Boulder, CO and Buckley Space Force Base (BSFB). You will oversee the day-to-day task execution of a team of instructors who are charged with the responsibility to train Space Force Operators on the capabilities of the FORGE (Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution) MDPAP (Mission Data Processing Application Provider) program. You will have an opportunity to work with our customers and other Centil teammates to grow your skills. Additionally, we will task you to introduce and champion techniques that promote adaptability and flexibility in the face of unpredictable circumstances.

This role is focused on managing a training team for a program which guides development and delivery of mission applications that support operational units around the world. The person in this role will work within the organization to improve outcomes by defining training needs and objectives and delivering on those objectives. This person should possess strong technical expertise in mission data processing systems, excellent training and communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of mission-specific requirements and standards. Additionally, this person should have an operational background supporting the Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) community.

What you"ll do

• Manage a team of instructors who train Space Force Operators how to operate, manage, and troubleshoot mission data processing applications
• Adhere to Agile practices by planning and executing work within Sprints and Program Increments (PIs)
• Oversee the day-to-day execution of the team as they develop lesson plans and other training materials to be used for providing in-depth knowledge of the tools, software, and systems used within the MDPAP framework
• Work with the Cost Account Manager (CAM) to status Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Prep and oversee PI Planning for the team – identify epics and then decompose into stories and sub-tasks
• Coordinate with operations unit-level leadership in the Space Force to establish training objectives, schedules, and expected outcomes
• Work directly with the Operations Transition Manager to ensure program milestone requirements are achieved
• Collaborate with development team leads to understand future capabilities, and then adapt the training team's plan to accommodate new capability onboarding
• Review and approve all training materials – plan of instruction, lesson plans (including slideshows), operator user manual, and operating procedures

Required Qualifications

• US Government Security Clearance (Secret at minimum)
• 5 years experience managing teams
• In-depth knowledge of mission data processing systems, software, and tools
• Familiarity with data security, compliance protocols, and troubleshooting methodologies
• Demonstrated servant leader and collaborator with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), DoD or IC Systems

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements for mission-critical data processing
• Experience with Systems Engineering artifacts, such as requirements, architecture and CONOPS
• Experience with integration, test and verification of IT systems
• Experience with DevSecOps environments, CI / CD pipelines and tools – e.g. Jira and Confluence

Expected Salary Range

Depending on experience and skillset, most candidates will earn between $140,000 and $180,000 per year.

We combine these factors with market and business considerations to extend a job offer.
