Job Title: Special Education Teacher
About the Role:
Centra Healthcare Allied is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing instruction to students with special needs in a school setting.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning and Instruction: Develop and implement tailored lesson plans and instructional materials to meet the unique needs of students.
- Student Progress Assessment: Evaluate and assess student progress using standardized measures and other assessment tools to ensure they are meeting their educational goals.
- IEP Team Collaboration: Work closely with IEP teams to develop and implement individualized education programs that cater to each student's needs.
- Support and Direct Instruction: Provide direct instruction and support to students, including behavioral interventions and crisis management to create a safe and secure learning environment.
- Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents and other stakeholders regarding student progress and concerns.
- Record Keeping: Accurately maintain records and reports related to student progress and IEP implementation.
Requirements:
- LBS1 Certification
- ISBE Approved PEL
- Endorsed in specific teaching assignment
