Executive Vice President Centra Foundation

The Centra Foundation Executive Vice President is responsible for promoting philanthropic investment by donor partners to support the mission of Centra Health. The EVP provides strategic leadership to develop a multi-faceted, comprehensive approach to advancing philanthropy that is aligned with current and emergent best practices and is focused on mission impact and growth. As the chief operating officer of the Foundation, the EVP ensures public trust by providing transparent and ethical oversight of the solicitation and stewardship of philanthropic funds.

• Provide strategic direction and oversight in the management of the Centra Foundation

• Partner with the CEO, Foundation and Centra Board, and clinical and executive leaders to build a strong culture of philanthropy at Centra

• Manage a portfolio of high-level prospects and donors with responsibility for cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major, principal and planned gifts

• Provides education and analysis to Board of Directors

• Direct the distribution of charitable funds to ensure that contributions are used in accordance with donors’ intentions

• Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage and mobilize supporters to advocate for Centra’s mission and its impact on the community

• In collaboration with Centra Finance, oversee budgeting, investments, tax filings and maintenance of correct and complete financial records

• In collaboration with Centra Legal, ensure compliance and regulatory requirements

• Develop systems to communicate funding opportunities within Centra service lines and departments

• Oversee the implementation and management of all development initiatives and campaigns including timelines, budget, staff and outside counsel to ensure a generous return on investment

• Recruit, develop and mentor a high-performing development team that is aligned with Centra’s mission, values, and strategic priorities

• Develop and maintain effective systems and processes to support fundraising and development operations, including gift processing, database management, and reporting

• Develop and implement a fundraising plan that includes clear goals, metrics, and timelines for achieving fundraising targets

• Ensure that all communication materials accurately and correctly reflect the mission and use of solicited funds

• Represent the Foundation at internal and external events, conferences, and other public forums to enhance Centra’s visibility and influence
  

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role supervises a team of 8.
