The Supervisor, Nutrition Services Operations supervises the daily activities within their scope of operation, including but not limited to production, cafe operations, riverside roasters, food truck operations, tray line, call center operations, on and off-site catering events, supervising activities of the Aide I, II, Leads, cooks, baristas, and cashiers. The Supervisor acts as the person in charge in the absence of the Manager, Nutrition Services.
High School diploma or GED
3 year of Food Service Experience
SERV safe Certified
Responsibilities
Take temperatures of the food to ensure all items are below or above degrees
>Ensure cleaning tasks are completed prior to the end of the shift
Train new employees on specific food service tasks such as delivering trays, preparing food, following recipes, and sanitation
Plan, direct, and coordinate daily operations within the assigned service line which may be, but not limited to, retail services, room service, patient/resident meal service, Riverside Roasters, other retail venues, production, catering
Ensures all food items are labeled, dated at all times
Ensure Computrition system is up to date, including recipes, menus, behavioral health menus, MOW, PACE, and other off site facilities
Act as an ambassador for Nutrition Services (manage up the department at all levels)
Ensure safe operation of the Code Fresh Food truck and NS vehicles
Mentors and trains new personnel
Plans and prepares work schedules, assigning employees to specific tasks
Count money, make bank deposits, work with accounting on ensuring finances are correct
Production, waste, and reviewing production records, including working with the Receiving Clerk on inventory levels and product par levels
Review reports on a daily basis and adjust par levels, production amounts, forecasting amounts, and make menu changes/recommendations
Review department financials on a monthly basis and ensure forecasting targets are in line with department goals and objectives
Hold daily huddles (documented)
Ensure food is garnished and appropriate in appearance
Assist Ops manager/Director in daily operations of the kitchen as assigned
Rounds on a daily basis in retail, patient floors, and cafe
Conduct monthly safety audits
Supervisory Responsibilities:
