What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor Transport PACE - LYN PACE/Full Time Days position at Centra Medical Group?
The supervisor will be responsible for 24-hour management of the assigned geographic division of transport. The supervisor will be responsible for performance management of their assigned direct reports. The supervisor will be responsible for oversight of their assigned area of specialty including vehicles, training, operations, recruitment and retention, or specialty transport. Other responsibilities as assigned.
Associate degree in healthcare or management or 2 years of leadership/supervisory experience in EMS or medical transportation
Ground Transport: Must be an EMT or higher
PACE: Must obtain EMT certification within a year of employment
Maintains all certifications required for their current level of certification, see applicable job description.
Travel Required
Travel is expected to be between 10% - 25% of the time.
Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and ability to consistently complete job duties.
Has ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, as well as recognize changes or abnormalities in patient condition and report same.
Manages process for purchase, preventive maintenance and care of ambulances, wheelchair vehicle, and ambulatory vehicles.
Accountable for controlling the departmental budget.
Projects a professional and personable image to patients, family members, staff, and other customers.
Interacts and communicates information and ideas to all levels of personnel within the organization.
Understands and ensures regulatory and code compliance (JCAHO, OSHA, EPA, Radio Licensing, etc. Ability to recognize, develop and implement solutions to transportation needs within the facility.
Ability to recognize conflicts with personnel, patients, and other customers and to appropriately intervene.
Understands and ensures compliance to regulatory requirements for Ground Transport & PACE.
For PACE: Assists with revision and development of policies and procedures in accordance with VADSS, DMAS, and CMS regulations and assures adherence by direct reports.
Plans and prepares work schedules and assigns direct reports to specific duties.
Other Functions:
Assists leadership team in development and implementation of strategic plans, quality assurance, and performance improvement activities.
