The Sterile Processing Tech provides hospital and affiliated facilities with processed instrumentation, materials and equipment ensuring a quality product for patient care by executing established procedures for decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and redelivery. Direct ancillary support is provided in the Operating Rooms and GI Endoscopy Department.
Schedule:
- Part Time | 64 hours every two weeks
- Rotating 8 Hour Day shifts Monday - Friday (6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., -OR- 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.)
- Every 6th - 7th Weekend rotation
Pay & Benefits:
- Starting pay begins at $17.41 per hour and increases with experience.
- Pay range: $17.41 - $23.73 per hour.

- This is a Union position, and you will be required to join the AFSCME 3296 Union within 30 days from start.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Sterile Processing Technician training and/or certification preferred.
- Previous surgical aide or sterile processing experience helpful.
- Must demonstrate ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions as well as ability to comprehend medical terminology and math.
- Working knowledge of and demonstrated ability to follow regulatory guidelines, professional standards and recommended practices (i.e., ANSI, AAMI, AORW) related to sterile technique and infection control based on microbiology principles and best available evidence for practice.
