JOB SUMMARY:
St. Cloud Hospital Clara's House is a partial hospitalization program that provides short-term therapy/stabilization services to children and adolescents ages 5-18. Services that are offered at Clara's House include:
- Art Therapy
- Recreation Therapy
- Social skills training
- Individual, family, and group therapy
- Psychoeducational groups
- Individualized academic instruction
- Psychiatric assessment and medication monitoring
Responsibilities of Psychotherapist:
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, discharge planning, and care management.
- Create an individualized treatment plan to identify goals, strategies, and effective interventions to strengthen the child-caregiver relationship and overall daily functioning.
- Provide daily group therapy, weekly family and individual therapy.
- Assist in staff development through consultation, education, and supervision.
- Lead and facilitate weekly unit meetings to review and update individual treatment plans.
PSYCHOTHERAPIST:
EDUCATION
Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related Human Services field required.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 1 year work experience as a mental health professional required.
- Experience working with children ages 5 - 18 preferred.
- Clinical internship experience relevant to this position location is preferred.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Licensure by the State of Minnesota Board of Psychology as Licensed Psychologist (LP) or;
- Licensure by the State of Minnesota Board of Social Work at Independent Clinical level (LICSW) or;
- Licensure by the State of Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to provide independent clinical services (LMFT) or;
- Licensure by the State of Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health & Therapy as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
- MSW and LICSW required if Medicare Provider Enrollment is required for the specific practice location.
ASSOCIATE PSYCHOTHERAPIST:
EDUCATION
Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related Human Services field required.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience working with children ages 5 - 18 preferred.
- Clinical internship experience relevant to this position location is preferred.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Licensure by the State of Minnesota Board of Social Work as a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) or;
- Licensure by the State of Minnesota Board of Social Work as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or;
- Licensure by the State of Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy as a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) or;
- Licensure by the State of Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health & Therapy as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
- Full licensure for independent practice is required within 5 years of hire.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS for both Associate Psychotherapist and Psychotherapist
Successful compliance with Minnesota Law, Chapter 372 relating to sexual exploitation of patients by staff providing psychotherapy services.
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Initial and On-going Training (or equivalent) provided.
